For Creatives: Create video packages following Waffle Video’s guidelines, upload them to the platform, and earn money when we make sales with AI companies. Multiple AI companies may purchase content, generating passive income. For AI Companies: Purchase high-quality video content tailored for AI training. Companies can also post specific video requests for filmmakers if they wish to partner with us. ​

Creatives: Anyone passionate about content creation, from amateurs to professionals. AI Companies: Businesses developing machine learning, computer vision, and other AI applications that require large-scale video datasets. ​

Yes, signing up for Waffle Video is free. Creatives earn money when videos are purchased, while AI companies only pay for the content they acquire.

Waffle Video promotes environmental sustainability by using real-world, user-contributed videos, which reduce the need for energy-intensive synthetic data generation. Unlike synthetic video production, which requires vast computational resources and substantial water usage for cooling data centers, our model leverages existing devices and cloud storage for minimal environmental impact.

Bulk video data purchases by AI companies Every time an AI company purchases videos from our company, the creatives on our platform will be paid based on how many videos they have uploaded. This is a new field, so we can’t guarantee how much you’ll make per video. Remember, these are only 15- to 20-second videos. The formula you can use to figure out how much you would make is as follows: At time of sale: (Amount of videos provided by individual/total amount of videos on our platform) x (0.3 x sale price) For now, let’s imagine the scenario below: We make a deal with 10 AI companies for $1/video for 1 million videos. 30% of the money from the deal will go to our creatives to be split up among them. That’s $3 million in this example. Let’s say you uploaded 1,000 videos (totaling about 5 hours of video), which could also be seen as you providing 0.1% of our video database. You would get $3,000 from this deal, which is 0.1% of the $3 million that would be split up among our creator community. Now, let’s say we made the same deal with 20 AI companies. Then you’d get $6,000. And so on and so on. It's possible to film at least 1,000 videos in a day, and we hope that even just one day of filming could end up bringing you thousands of dollars of earnings over time. We want the creatives on our platform to make a lot of money. We will do our best to make that happen. Remember, there is currently no limit to the amount of videos you can upload, and the more you upload, the more you will make each time we make a deal with an AI company.

After signing up, you will receive an email containing all the info you need to get started. You can also navigate to your Filmmaker Dashboard and click on "Upload Video Package." Follow the instructions that are included on that page, and visit the "Creator Tutorials" page, accessible from your Creator Dashboard, for helpful walkthroughs. All of this information will also be provided in a second email containing your personal upload folder link once that is created for you.

You can upload: Various shot types (pan right, static, tilt up, etc.) in various frames (wide, medium, close-up, etc.). Scenes from nature, urban areas, or industrial settings. Videos that meet Waffle Video’s quality and ethical guidelines (e.g., no humans, ensuring proper metadata tagging). ​

Ensure videos are 1080p resolution and stable (use a tripod or stabilizer if needed). Only ambient audio is allowed (no voices or music). Unusable audio needs to be removed before uploading to our database. Adhere to the required frames and shots checklist provided by Waffle Video.
